CD-RW drive support for Ultra66

I want to put a new CD-RW drive on my ATA66 IDE. What CD-RW drives have
support for Ultra 66 connections. I have a BX Master and my
Imation 4x4x20 either doesn't like the ata 66 or its puking
on me.

Thanks

Mike

You're not suppose to use anything except hard drives on Ultra66 controllers and the like. Burners and cd-roms belong on the mobo's controller.

I have always run my cdrom's and dvdrom's off the Promise controller, and havn't had any problems either, I do know that with the onboard controllers they do advise against it on some boards tho.

I don't know of any CDROMS that support anything beyond ATA33, but the ATA 66 connector is bacwards compatible so it should be okay.
