I just installed a brand new Samsung 52x24x52x CDRW drive (well, new from RMA) in my system, which was working fine with my Pioneer 16x Slot loading DVD drive. Now that I installed the CDRW they will both just stop being listed in Windows. When I boot up Windows they will both be seen and available, but after a few minutes the mouse stops responding for a second, and when it starts responding again the CD drives are gone from windows explorer, and I can't even open the Samsung with the button on the drive itself. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Its really driving me nuts and I can't figure out what the problem is.
EDIT: I tried just using the CDRW and the problem still occurs, which leads me to believe that this is a hardware issue, but the drive is a brand new RMA from Samsung, so I don't know.
