I am look at buy a new cd-rom for reading CD's when Im burning, The one I have now does not let me read when using clone CD and I was wondering If anyone could help or had a suggestion in which CD-ROM is the best(no scsi please).

The Toshiba 48x is my personal favorite. I have yet to find a burned CD that it won't read. You should be able to find one for around $40.

I'm not sure if this is your question, but the CloneCD site has a table showing the performance of different CDROM's and how they perform reading subchannel data--look HERE then go Requirements/Hardware Requirements.
