CD rom won't show up in XP

Seems like my cd rom shows up on my BIOS but when Win XP starts is doesn't show up at all.

Could u help me

First, are you certain it is detected by the bios? Second, what were the last couple things you have done? Third, what shows up in device manager?

I am postitive that it shows up in the BIOS, it shows up connected to the secondary master postion. The last couple things that I did was add some RAM and that is it. And in the device manager my Primary and secondary IDE are working as well.
