My Kenwood 72x just died, :(. I know a lot of people had a lot of probs with this CD-Rom but I didn't have as many, I truly love the quietness and quickness, now it's dead. What do you guys recommend I replace it with since Kenwood stopped making them. I was thinking of maybe an ASUS 50x or a SONY 50x, please LMK what you think and if you can please provide a link.

Thanks,
Nore

Loud, eh?
Hmm, don't want loud. I already have enough case fans, hehe.
Sony? Hmm, sounds good.
Anybody else?

I decided to get the ASUS 50x, I would get the Sony 52x but they only have OEM (Everywhere) and I hate OEM sh*t.

I'm wondering why people who want quiet CD-ROMs don't use 32x drives. I have a plextor 12/10/32 that I use as my main drive, and it's plenty fast enough. Just buy a bigger hard drive and do larger installs. :D It works for me.

I uh have 3 drives. 1 CD-Rom, 1 DVD and 1 CDRW. I like to have a Drive for different things. I don't like to say use my CDRW to play games or install, etc. I have no idea why, lol.
