Ok.. so I have an Asys A7V266-E mobo, with a cd-r and cd-rom hooked up to IDE channels 1 and 2, the harddrive is on raid.

Well, noticed a few days ago that my drives were gone.. cannot access them at all, and device manager says

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Device Manager Error Code 31
This device depends on another device that is not functioning correctly.

No idea. I have tried removing the cd-roms and rebooting. Tried removing the IDE drivers, tried new IDE drivers...

I am clueless... anyone know?

Ohh, and I am running Win2k with SP2 installed.

Edit: I tested the drive. Both drives work, meaning, I can boot CDs off of them. I tried them on the Raid controller and the normal IDE controller.. got the same error both times. I tried 3 different versions of the ViaTech 4in1 drivers. I'm lost.

It might be how you setup your RAID and IDE CD-Roms. Make sure you have the right connection setup. Sorry I can't be of much help, I have not had much experience with RAID Setups.
