For some reason my CD rom drive got switch to PIO mode 4 and I'm unable to get it to run on DMA mode again. This happened awhile back and for the life of me I can't figure out why it is in PIO only now as i have the bios set for it to be DMA, it's a slave to a DMA 2 drive on the secondary channel and it's set to DMA if available in device manager. Anyone think of a reason i'm not able to get the drive back to using DMA mode? It's annoying using it this way as PIO mode nails the computer when installing a large program.
