Hi guys,
I'm running into some CD-ROM problems with Daiblo II. I've just installed Diablo II on my system, and the install was flawless. However, whenever I try to run the game, I encounter the following error:
"Diablo II was unable to detect a Disc in your CD-ROM drive. Please make sure your Diablo II Play Disc is in your CD-ROM drive, then click on 'Retry'."
I can click on Retry till my fingers bleed, but I still get the same error message. I've verified, repeatedly, that the Play Disc is in fact in my CD-ROM drive. Now, here's some info about my computer that may help you to determine the problem.
I'm running Windows 2000 Pro. I've got two CD-ROM drives: a Plextor 40x Max and a Plextor 8/20 Burner, both on an Adaptec 2930C SCSI card. The burner is on a lower SCSI ID than the reader. I've tried placing the disc in both drives, but that produces the same results (the error above) each time.
I've tried contacting Blizzard tech support, but their phones are always busy and they didn't answer my e-mail. (Shmucks...) Any ideas as to how to fix the problem? Thanks in advance!
