I was wondering? which CD-Rom is the pretty good and at a reasonable price? I have a problem with the Sony 48x when recording from cd to cd, the software only recognizes it at 4x. So, I was wondering which CD-ROM drives are good? thanks

Search function would be usefull here...but to answer your question:

The Plextor Ultraplex Wide 40x is the best money can buy.

6.0MB/s transfer
80ms seek 512KB Buffer
100,000 hours MTBF
UltraWide SCSI (68-Pin), Retail Kit 133 bones... 🙂

here is good place to look. if youre gonna copy music, DAE speeds are important. Also, has some info on DVD and data rates. I purchased an Aopen 952. they have them at newegg for 30 bucks plus shipping.
