cd rom drive gone after nero install under win xp

Hey,

I install cdrwin and nero and now my cd roms under xp are gone. they're ide atapi. They show up in hardware manager but not when I goto explorer. Not sure whats broken... anyone experience anything like this

drive is a plexter crw
os is xp pro

Have you got Musicmatch Jukebox (MMJB) version 6.X installed? If so, this is the problem. It is a very common problem. Seems MMJB has cd burning drivers that conflict with Nero. Uninstall MMJB, Nero will work fine, and your drives will reappear in Explorer. Do NOT reinstall MMJB version 6.X. Install MMJB version 7.0 (just released), which seems to coexist well with Nero.
