I would also be interested in hearing the opinions on this of people who own cd-rw's myself!

I could be wrong but I think Most people who use cd-rw's prefer to have both so they can copy directly from cd to cd-rw instead of the extra step of copying to the hard drive then back to burn a new cd. As I said I could be wrong since I don't own one yet, a situation soon remedied hopefully.

I know that if you're planning on doing On - the - fly drive to drive copying, you need two drives, and the DAE speed of the source drive needs to be fast enough to keep from burining coasters since "burnproof" features won't work when going drive to drive I don't believe.

I was just thinking since seperate CD-Roms are so cheap now, you can get one just to do software loading, and DAE(if it's fast enough) so you will save wear and tear on the burner. (assuming you get a really expensive burner)

Hey, did I just answer my own question? oops......;)
