CD-Rom and CD-RW on same IDE cable or not?

Is it better to have my CD-Rom and CD-RW on seperate IDE cables? Or can I have my CD-Rom set to Master and my CD-RW set to Slave on the same cable? Does it really matter? Thanks, Kent 🙂

This should answer your question

In theory, you would want the CDRW and CDrom to be on different channels, but it's not a big deal if they are using the same one. I have my 16x DVD as the master and my 52x CDRW as the slave, and I have had no problems when doing CD-to-CD copies at full speed.

You can't go wrong with an external CD/RW. They just work better in any situation.
