CD-Rom and CD-RW on same IDE cable or not?

Is it better to have my CD-Rom and CD-RW on seperate IDE cables? Or can I have my CD-Rom set to Master and my CD-RW set to Slave on the same cable? Does it really matter? Thanks, Kent

This should answer your question

In theory, you would want the CDRW and CDrom to be on different channels, but it's not a big deal if they are using the same one. I have my 16x DVD as the master and my 52x CDRW as the slave, and I have had no problems when doing CD-to-CD copies at full speed.

You can't go wrong with an external CD/RW. They just work better in any situation.
