the cd-rom spins up but nothing happens, and the cd-r, well it doesn't even spin up. i'm running a dual-celeron 366 setup, overclocked to the 90mhz bus (495mhz/chip). could i have burned out my scsi card and cd-rom by running my FSB too high? thanks for the help guys.

SCSI cards have a reputation of being problematic at very high PCI bus speeds, at which 95MHz FSB clearly is. Back off the speed, and see if things return to normal. See if you have a 1/3 mutliplier for the PCI bus at 95 MHz FSB....otherwise, you ought to back off to 75MHz FSB. SCSI cards usually start to choke just over 37.5 MHz on the PCI bus.
