Ok all i'm archiving live shows that were taped legally in audio and SHn format. So each show is about 4 or 5 CDs.

Well i was using Verbatim's, but the newiest spindle of the valuelifes i bought has a differnt die on the bottom (light green or yellowish) Before they had the standard Metal Azo (dark dark Blue) bottoms. Well there standard CD-R's still come with the Metal Azo's while these valuelifes come with teh new and i suspect cheaper dye. Before they were all the same, except the valuelifes had a completely white top so i could write alot of stuff on top of the CD. That is why i lied them was for their white tops.

So anyways. Does anybody have some suggestions on a CD Brand that comes in spindles with White Tops. I mean completely white there is no brand name or anything on it. Am I wrong on the current CD-R's i have? Are they just as good? I have had problems in the past with maxwells i think that had this same color bottom. I had a bunch of them and they are scratched up too easily and just failed after 6 months or so.

Anyways if anybody can give me some suggestions that would be great. I heard Sony's were the best, but do they come with completely white tops?

consider price and quality, I personally go for Ricoh. If price is not a factor, Kodak and Sony for sure.

thanks I looked up on the best buy website and a a spindle costs 30... i was spending 25 on the verbatims, so 5 bucks more isn't too bad. I use this spindle up and then get a some sonys. Are all Sony's the same or are there different levels in terms of dye quality.

I have had my best results with the memorex 80 minute. White top, slight green base. I have not tried a huge variety though. I stick with what works...

50 pack spindles go on sale all the time by me.
