Which is the best and most reliable CD-R manufacturer?

Thanks.

I've been using Ritek lately. I got a 100-pack of printable CDr discs from Newegg for about $23. Been working great.

Taiyo Yuden and most stuffs Made in Japan. Europes not to Shabby either for top not asrigent QC but then that's just my Opinion where others may differ 😉

I use Memorex.
With CDs being so cheap nowdays, I dont think it really matters as long as you purchase a reputable brand like Sony, Memorex, Verbatim, Fuji or Imation, etc.

Ummm major brands are manu'd and made in different countries (ex Memorex from Japan, Mexico, Tawian) which end with different results. That's why I look for where they are made

I even used Staples brand for awhile...worked fine. I use Ritek now because they have cheap printables.

Memorex and Maxell have been great buys for me. BUT......there are cheap brands don't be fooled. Like RussianSensation said, buy a reputable brand. I once bought some random brand, I can't think of the name, from BB and after 2 months the face started to wear leaving virtual holes in the data.

you may be able to buy cheap media that will burn all your data fine, but that does not mean that your data will be on a reliable medium later on.

i bought some cheap stuff, and like dudeman, while it wrote fine to the CD, after a year the stuff started to literally deteriorate. chipping, discoloring, etc.

stick w/ the big brands like others have suggested.
