CD-R laser dying!

I have a 4416 Scsi Yamaha Burner... I think the Laser is dying.
It still reads CD's fine but the burner is dead.
Tried cleaning the laser w/ Isopropyl Alcohol burnt a cd about half way and got some error. Could be the CD I used.
"Tracking, focus or spindle servo failure"
I'll try again and I'll report the error again.

I remember there was a way to adjust the laser strength.
