Cd player doesnt apear in laptop..

so all of a sudden, my CD drive in my laptop is gone.....I can't find the icon anymore. It still works because the it still make sounds whenever i put a CD in, just hat I cant open it.

When I went to device manager, there is a big yellow question mark next to my CD rom. I tried to roll back driver, uninstall, reinstal, update driver, but it is still there..............


and on my task bar, there is a little icon in that when I click, says "Would you like to use HPDLA rather then the disc recording software provided with windws xp." whether I say yes or no, nothing happnes..

any idea how to get my CD drive back?
