CD Player Broken? URGENT NEED ANSWER BEFORE NIGHT ENDS

I just got a Sony PSyc a couple days ago, and haven't tried it till today. I popped in a CD, and the screen kept reading "disc", made a couple clicky noises, and went blank. When I press play, it says that there is no disc in the CD player. I tried 10 CDs at least, and none of them pick up. Can I fix this, or is this just broken? Please help fast because I'm going on a 5 hour plane ride tomorrow and I need something to listen to.
