What is good cd's to burn using the plextor 40/12/40 or the latest 48/24/48? I would guess any since it is burnproof but just wanting to know as this is my first time getting a cd-rw.

If you are wanting to get the full possible speed out of your cd-rw you need to get higher quality media. I have some verbatim 16x rated media that won't burn higher than 16x without some bad places on the burned cd. I have some cheap Optimum 32x cd-rws that burn great at 48x.
