CD Labeling software?

Tired of the Bull

What is the best CD labeling software? I have Sure Thing 1.16 and both EZ CD and Nero but they all fall short.

I want a program that is already setup to print the common labels I can buy and that will read CD-Text for the Artist and Title info on CDs I create from MP3.

Any suggestions...

I just upgraded to a Plextor CDRW, and read something interesting in the manual. "We do not recommend placing self-sticking CDR labels on the disc. The weight of the label may unbalance the disc and cause write errors during recording or read errors during reading."

I never thought of it before, but it kind of makes sense. Any opinions on the subject?

one of my friends uses these. obviously, to avoid the risk of write problems, you could put the label on after you have recorded the cd. i haven't had any problems with the disc not balancing properly, but some of the labels he used were very poor quality, and they started to peel up off the cd. this can scrape around in your cdrom while reading, and obviously isn't good 🙂

i personally think that it is not worth the money to print labels to stick on the cd surface. for me, a permanent marker does the job nicely 🙂

For me, Photoshop is my best CD labelling software. I'm very fussy with design and concept, I prefer to design my own labels instead of selecting from templates and cliparts.
