I just burned it. This is under properties.

Used space: 681,639,936 bytes 650MB
Free space: 0 bytes 0 bytes

This doesn't seem possible though.

<edit> thanks supra

but how'd he hit 650mb exactly? unless what you were writing was more than the cd could hold, and it just burned all the way up to what it could hold (650mb) and then just quit

No matter how much space you actually used on your CD, even 1MB and your CD is not yet finalized, windows will always display your free space to be 0MB...

Thats possible Val. In dirctCD it said I had 2 seconds left until the cd was full. It probably cut off the info it puts on the cd when it starts and ends the burning process.

<edit> 2 sec. of mp3 quality

it looks like the ones who have posted correct statements are correct. A 500MB cd has 0 bytes free space. :Q
