CD/DVD lens cleaners

Does anyone have any experiences with them? If so, post your experiences and what brand you used.

I'm looking into getting one because both me and my cousin (who treat our stuff very well) have PS2s that have a hard time reading disks. Mine will not read any movie DVD and won't read a game disk unless the power is turned on with the disk in the drive.

I just picked up generic ones for cheap. I use them once and a while, they work great. I had a CD player that stopped playing CDR's all together, ran a cleaner through it and it played them fine again 🙂

(thanks for the reply)
Well if you wait more than 5 minutes, maybe you would get more replies. Sheesh.

um, he waited an hour. Once it falls off the main page, not likely to get much responses either.

Still I think most people assume they are snake-oil and not likely to help anything. But JFALL seems to discredit that theory... anyone else had problems go away after using these?

Picked up a Scotch DVD cleaner from Best Buy about a month ago. Works pretty good for me. I usually also clean rental DVDs with cotton and rubbing alcohol before playing them to get any dirt or smudges off the DVD surface.
