I'm in the market for a CD/DVD label making program of some type. What's available? What do you recommend? Anything in particular I should look for, or look to avoid?
Thanks.

I tried a few Cd label programs...most were pretty lame. I ended up making a template in powerpoint, two concentric cricles showing the printable area of the CD label. Then powerpoint easily handles whatever you want to do with images or text on the label. Before I print, I just select the template circles and make them white.

I'd be happy to email you my template, you might have to tweak it a little for your printer/labels

Since I made the original post, I have been hearing just that from a number of people, telling me that labels on CD's and DVD's are not a good idea. Hmmm.....
Then, what about jewel case label makers? Obviously, they can't damage the CD or DVD. Any feedback on this?
Finally, what is the consensus about writing on the discs? Are Sharpies safe over the long term?

I've made hundreds of DVD's with labels and never had a problem. The label maker that comes with Roxio CD/DVD maker works pretty well.
