CD-Duplicator recommendation

Can anyone here suggest a good standalone CD-Duplicator? I've seen them advertised on TigerDirect from Kanguroo, etc. But I don't know much about the quality of these products. Any suggestions from you guys out there?

LaCie Dupli 121 seems quite good but does need to be connected to a PC.

LaCie Dupli 125 is completely standalone and has 4 12x Burners....but then again, it costs £1400 + Vat or more!

How come it needs to be standalone?....or does it just need to be external with a reader AND writer?
