I know this isnt really off topic but i need quick help...my friends cd drive wont recognize in windows, but it will recognize in the bios. What should he do? Ive gone through everything i can think of.
 
Im not sure he was basically just telling me that the bios recognizes it but XP will not, but the hard drive and everything works.
 
general hardware would be the better forum for that
never heard of that before tho - but I've had stuff refuse to show up in the bios but show up in windows 😕
