CD copy, altering CD text

Muse

In Nero 6, if a CD doesn't have CD text, I can create it. Later, I can edit that so that if I make a copy with the original CD-Textless CD, I can have any CD text I want. But if the original CD already has CD text, I don't know a way to alter it.

Is there a program (preferably free) that will let me edit CD text of a CD that already has CD text? Can you do this with Exact Audio Copy? I just installed it and poking around I don't even see a way to do a simple disk copy.

I downloaded and installed the latest version of imgburn (2.5.0.0) and am creating an ISO file now. Will look for a way to edit it...

One way to edit CD text: 1) Extract audio using Exact Audio Copy or other program, to image + cue sheet. 2) Edit CD text in cue sheet. It's a simple text file. Might have to Google for correct format though. 3) Burn new audio CD from revised cue sheet. EAC can do this, as can Imgburn and others.

Yeah, I remember changing the CD Text for a CD several years ago using EAC. It's been a long time so I don't remember the details. So, last night I tried doing it again. I didn't create an image file, though, I processed to WAV with cue sheet. I stumbled around, went to write the CD, left the computer and came back and there'd been an exception error. 😱 The CD was blank, at least I think it's blank. I'll try again, writing to an image with cue sheet as you suggest.

Thing is, the cue sheet files I have from this experimentation last night don't seem to have the info I input! They evidently didn't even grab the CD Text that's already on the original CD! 😕

I got nowhere looking for a freeware program that would edit an ISO file. AFAIK, there aren't any.

I have imgburn too, and tried some things with it yesterday but gave up thinking it couldn't do it. Guess it can, based on what you say. I'll have some time tomorrow to try again. Thanks for the help.
