Cd burning troubles lately

For the last couple weeks my cds haven't burned or have messed up. I tried burning an Offspring cd like 5 times but it always kinda stops responding and it no longer burns and gets to 99% and hangs there. And then a few other cds that burned, on one or two of the songs on the cds, it only burns like 10 seconds of it. So on one cd, song 1 had only 15 seconds and another cd I had one song have like 15 seconds and I burned it 3 times and STILL doesn't burn properly.

I don't know what's up... Plextor 8x4x32, Nero 5.5.

Windows XP? Did you install the CD-R 'patch' that came down a few weeks ago? If so, it broke Nero for many of us. Haven't found a fix yet.

Is this only dubbing a music cd? Dubbing music cd's sucks big time. I always rip them with audiograbber then burn them with nero 5.0. Can you burn data completely?

Said I was using Nero 5.5, specs are in my sig...

It only happens when trying to burn mp3s. But not all the time. I just burned a mix and they burned fine but I tried burning a Thursday cd before that and it'd always burn like 10 seconds of the 3rd song.
