CD Burning Problems [updated]

In order to try to emulate the problem, i've re-burned some of the episodes on cd and i've come across a disturbing problem. I can play all the episodes on the CD easily through both drives (DVD and CD-RW) on my main rig where the cd was burned. However, i tested the episodes on my laptop (different specs, but same software and codecs installed) and had crc errors. Someone please explain to me what is going on. How can the same disk work on one system but fail miserably on the other!

Okay,
This is starting to get to me. I've burrned my friend a bunch of anime and it turns out that he's finding one out of three or four files are corrupted. I'm using EZ CD Creator 5 (because on my last install, nero was giving me problems). I've got a brand new burner (52x). Any one know why this would happen? My burner gave me no errors at all when i burned these off.

[edit] And yes, i know most people dont like EZCD Creator and I definetly prefer nero but nero stopped working a while ago and as a workaround, i started using EZCD when i fresh installed.

Its not my prefrence but i needed it to work. I'll try playing around with nero again later.

I've been using nero for ages until recently where it just stopped liking me. It continually freezed up, even on my on plextor.

just checked my aspi layers and they are all up to date.

I think we've identified the problem.

LOL, so very true.....

Yea yea yea, enough about EZCD, it was a means to an end since nero unfourtunetly didn't work for me. My gf convinced me to use in instead of wasting time during the school year getting nero to work.
