What would be a good cd-rw internal burner for my desk top ?
I have gone through 2 in the past 2 years.
The last was a HP dvd-1035 (I only burnt a hand full of dvd's)
50 TO 75 CD's a month.
I'm done buying cheap burners.
Any ideas???
Thanks Brad

I'm not up to date on current models, but I've always had good luck with Lite-On burners, which are also rebadged and sold under many well known vendors.

If you have a choice, you can save a little money by buying models without LightScribe, which personally, I consider useless.

I've bought the sale of the week on Newegg for the last few burners and all of them perform flawlessly, and I burn ALOT of discs. (around 30-40 a week each)
Lite-On, LG, Samsung, etc. All perform about the same (I can't tell the difference in writing speed between them) and they have all held up to constant usage.

I haven't bought a CD writer in years since DVD writers are the same price. In DVD writers, the only ones I've had problems with were the NECs I bought a few years ago (2006-2007). Since then, I've bought Lite-On, LG, Samsung, and Asus and have had zero problems so far (crossing fingers for good luck).

Last time I looked at Newegg, they didn't sell any CD-RW burners anymore. Does anyone still make them???
