cd burner problem

hi, I just got this Sony CRX140E 8x4x32 cd burner. I'm a newbie for this kind of stuff and was wondering what kind of driver and program I need to start burning cds
thanks

you should be good to go w/out any specific driver installed...as long as windows detected the drive ok

as far as software, if the drive didn't come with any, there are two very popular programs right now..

1) adapted easy cd creator
2) nero

if you can find either of these (and this is by no means a complete list), you should be good to go.

What OS are you running?

RE: Software, Nero and CDRWin are by far the best and most configurable/powerful software programs out there. Although EZCD is easy to use you'll thank yourself if you learn the two aformentioned programs because when the time comes you'll want to be able to do all the things those two will let you do. EZCD won't.

Definatley go with Nero. I would also suggest checking out CloneCD for backing up games and such. It is a great program for copying YOUR OWN games for back up. (If you have kids, you know why you might need backups).
