Cd burner only burns about 70 minutes of music per cd, Rest is unreadable.

I got a cd drive and It could only burn 70 mins on a cd. I returned it and got another one. Same problem. Im beginning to think its something else. Right not im using fujifilm discs but I dont suspect that a disc that at the worst would be 74 mins cant make it to 70. Any thoughts?

Lower bur speed, and/or try different media.

Are you sure it's the burner and not your CD player? Does the burn fail if you have more than 70 minutes in the compilation, or can you burn a 75-80 minute CD-R and it just won't play to the end? If it burns fine but won't play through, have you duplicated this behavior on multiple players?

what burner, what software, what media, are you using CD labels...

there is another thread here on this subject - make sure your software is set to no multisession - Disc at once DAO , not track at once TAO, and def NOT DAO/96 (subcnannel info)
