I havent burned a CD in months and I need to back my stuff up. I have a HP Cd-Writer Plus and When I try to burn a cd it coems out with an error by Output Device. While it is trying to burn before it pops up with an error there is 0% buffer. The errors are: T0100: I/O error (03/0C/00) - Write error
T0100: I/O error (06/C5/00) - Write error - buffer underrun occurred
T7118: TrackWriter error - Command retry failed Can anyone tell me whats going on? Thanks.

Ensure that you are running no other programs when you burn a CD... it looks like you don't have a Burn-Proof (buffer underrun prevention) Drive.

Run a defrag on your HD that had the data on it and try reducing the burn speed to see if that helps any.

Try stepping down the speeds you are burning at also if you are trying to back up a cd have it write it to the hard drive first.

sounds like there may even be a problem with the hardware, the way it's connected or something

Well I have used a backpack burner too through my printer port. So its not the burner itself. I have a Ghz computer and the burner maxes out at 4x. I have tried every speed. Although I only have 3 choices. :( The external burner came out with the same errors. I have installed Windows again already. I switched out cables to the hard drive and the cd-writer but same ole same ole.
