Cd Burner busted

the drive won't open at all the liittle light flashes for a little but nothing happens and it crashes my computer also. I tried removing it and reinstalling it. Any suggestions?

tried a pin to see if its just jammed (in the tiny hole in the front

Hole in the front? It should have a hole in the side that you can use a pin to manually open.

idiot the hole is in the front, sounds like it is dead. the motor that opens it may have decided to croak
