I'm trying to backup alot of my CDs ever since I've had to deal with some major scratches. I'm using Nero 5.5 and a Lite on drive LTR 24102B. However, when I try to back them up I get copyprotection warnings and then it doesn't burn. Am i doing something wrong here? - never done this before.

BTW I'm doing the CD to CD copy "on the fly" option

Thanks

There are numerous programs that can do 1:1 copies. Unfortunately, they cannot copy some CDs because of the copy protection.

Some of the more popular: CloneCD, Blindwrite, Alcohol 120

Edit:
You might try ripping an image of the CD to your hard drive first and then burning it to a CD. In Nero go under Recorder -> Choose Recorder and pick the Image Recorder. Then go through the typical Copy CD procedure, but then it will ask you the filename and location to save the image. If the image is ripped sucessfully, go under File -> Burn Image.

Hope this helps.

Also, "On the Fly," in general, is the worst way to copy CD's..You should copy an image to the hard drive first, then burn an image from that.

Of the programs above, Alcohol 120% is the best for copy protected stuff in my opinion.
