CD and DVD disk cleaners

My grand daughter got her hands on a bunch of my dvd's and cd's.
Besides using alchohol to clean them, what else can I use?
What cloths and other wipes are safe?
And, are there any decent cleaning machines or other methods I can use to clean the disks? And will any machines or methods remove scratches?
My daughter lets the kid touch any and all disks and between her and I we have over 200 disks that could use a cleaning!!!

alcohol??? I dont remember that being a good idea.....
just use a lint free cloth, or a tissue to wipie across the disc, eg. not round in circles

there are some agents that apparently fix scratched discs, but im not sure how well they work
