i am taking these classes in high school atm (gr11), where they prepare you for taking the CCNA exam. there are 6 classes. 2 in your grade 11 year and then 4 in your grade 12 year. i was just wondering is CCNA a respectible certification? i know most people look down on A+ or some other cert like that and say that its crap. does the same go for CCNA? if i do get a CCNA cert would that help me land a nice paying job?

well for part one of you question...yes, CCNA is a respectable cert to have. i'm currently in the same class (but im doing it all in one year, gonna work my tail off ;))
part two...it can help you to get a good job but experience counts for a lot more than any cert...talk with your instructor about the internships available with the NEtAcademy course...it will help you get the real-world experience you need in addition to the cert.

Just remember that the certification alone will not get you a job. In the real world, it's experience that counts...

OTOH, it can't hurt to have the certification :) If two equally qualified people have the same skills/personality, etc., the one with the certification will edge out the other one.

It's definately the experience that counts in the real world. That's goes to any university degree too. If you have a degree and no experience you'd have a real hard time looking for work. The certification will definately get your foot into the industry.
