He was in band, jazz band at that -- truly a devote band member. My dad is the band director at Coal City Middle School and taught this kid. CCMS isn't a big school, it's very small, actually.. this is mostly farm country. It just happened today so I haven't seen my dad's reaction yet but I'm sure it won't be pretty.
This is really a sad matter. I remember Junior High being a "beat 'em up" atmosphere, but this is truly tragic. Things have gone too far for someone to feel the need to kill themself from torture from other students.
If you see someone getting picked on, and you're still in a school where fights happen -- put an end to it. There's no **cking point to it..
A million sad faces can't represent the sadness from this.
