You could try replacing the backlighting unit.

Replace the whole panel and upgrade in the process.

Replace the monitor with an IPS unit.

All depends on how comfortable you're at tinkering with things.

Not what I said.

It might be able to be repaired with a new backlight unit. The problem I see coming up is whether you can find the part and is the cost less than buying a new monitor.

CCFL hasn't been popular for quite a bit now and I'm not even sure there's new parts being made for them.

but backlight is visible clearly ,i can see the - minimize, max, cancel buttons icons at right top side ,and also the mouse cursor moving at top , if backlight is the problem , the whole spread wil be bad ,or dim right ? or black, and i could see with a torch light on it , but when i flashed at back i could not see pics in monitor ,also when i flex the screen and touch the place where invertor was there ,the screen changes it colours blue to white etc. which were clearly visible . mm by the way i wanted to put my doubt here ,that invertor was pretty hot on the bezel when the laptop is on ,could it be inverter heat spoiled the connection here ??

Could be.

I've swapped panels on laptops a few times so, I'm fairly intimate with how they work. It could something as simple as the cable that connects the panel to the GPU inside the laptop. It could be the inverter. It could be the backlight. It could be the panel itself.

The issue is figuring out which of them it is and how much money you want to spend to fix the issue. Sometimes the parts cost more than the whole.

Depending on the laptop / GPU there might be the option to convert from CCFL to IPS fairly cheap. The prices on panels vary widely though depending on size / tech. It might be replaceable for $30 or $100.

For instance when I wanted to replace my current panel from FHD60 to UHD120 prices were a bit higher with it being a 17" panel vs my prior 15.6". Where I could get a 4K60 for my 15.6" for ~$150 the 17" cost me twice as much and required an adapter to convert the pin pitch to 0.4 from 0.5. The little pitch adapter though was cheap at $4 but, it wasn't easy to find. Originally though I bought the laptop for mini-LED but, all sources were overpriced and out of stock at the time. I spent about a month trying to source a panel with mLED and cancelled a few orders due to them not being in stock.

I would get the model number of your current panel though and then pop it into panelook.com to source something that matches the specs of the current panel.
