CCC woes

I've got an ATI x1950xt hooked up to a pair of LCD monitors via DVI: a Dell 2005FPW and a Dell 2001FP. I've got them positioned so that the monitors are side by side, and I can mouse over to the other monitor just fine. If I change which monitor is primary in the CCC (Catalyst Control Center), then it changes the orientation of the monitors relative to each other. Basically it stacks them on top of each other, and I have to mouse 'up' or 'down' to get to the other monitor.

To top it off, if I use the Vista display settings control panel to change the primary monitor, it works just fine! Am I doing something really dumb here, or is this a bug? I'd really like to be able to use CCC to do it, so I can have two profiles defined - 1 with my 16:10 display primary, the other with the 4:3 display primary. This makes it easier to switch monitors if I'm playing a game that doesn't support WS.

Thanks for looking,

Dave
