CCC stuck in 11.10 even though I installed 12.4. What sorcery is this?

I was using 11.10 for a long time and today I finally decided to update to the latest drivers, so I uninstalled AMD software from Windows Control Panel, reboot, install 12.4, reboot again and check CCC's software info panel and it reports still being 11.10...what gives?

Ummm. Very strange. I am guessing it is probably 12.4 drivers, maybe something got left behind for the control panel? Or maybe you accidentally installed 11.10 again when you thought it was 12.4.

Maybe computer goblins? Damn those computer goblins!

I would use a driver removal software suite.
I don't remember which ones are good, as I've never had to use one, but I'll leave it up to you to find one on Google.

Your installation is borked, uninstall Catalyst with Atimans uninstaller to clean the mess up and reinstall clean.

This seems to be a common issue. Some releases do it, some dont. I saw it on 12.2 (reports as 12.3) and 12.4 seems to report as 12.1. I wouldn't bother fixing it- you most likely have the drivers from 12.4 as I do, it's just not reporting it in a registry string correctly.
