I was in the Circuit City in Westland, MI and saw 2 cards on the shelf stickered $49.99 (plus tax of $3.00). The shelf tag said 79.99. Must be on clearence. Not bad for a retail version...best price I saw on Pricewatch was $67.00 with shipping.

Here is detailed review:

Cool, a fellow westlander!
Anyways, I have a Santa Cruz (a little bit more in cost) and it totally rocks. I will never touch Creative again. What are people's experiences with this Philips card?
EDIT: Linkified the review

I saw the Philips AE at CC as well for $50, but decided to stick with my PM of $46.99 for the TBSC when CUSA was having the sale. I like that 110% PM at CC. ;)

BTW.. I grew up in Plymouth, MI and I'm a graduate of Plymouth Salem HS. Lived right in the middle of Canton Center Rd, Joy Rd, Ann Arbor Rd and Sheldon Rd. Worked for the Plymouth Mayflower Hotel during HS. Chaperoned the ski club on the weekends when I was going to MSU, etc... Small world. :)

Hey y'all!! I live in Los Angeles!! err... crap wrong state...

Anyways, I had an acoustic edge but I switched to turtle beach because the acoustic edge wouldnt do 5.1 with my midiland s4 7100's for some reason. Otherwise, performance on the baord was excellent (in 4.1).

I live up near Traverse City....couple hours north of Grand Rapids.
Traverse City is gorgeous! I was all over Michigan a few years ago when I circled the lake and do some mountain biking. I'd say that the area from Traverse City along the lake going up towards the UP was the prettiest. I was so dissapointed with the UP... I'd say about the only high points were Mackinac Isl, Souix locks and possibly the Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point. Now.. If I could only get the song "The wreck of the Edmund Fitgerald" out of my head. ;) If you've ever been to the shipwreck museum, you'll know what I'm talking about. ;)

Yeah..TC is pretty nice.
I didnt think anybody would know where it is :)
I actually live in a little town called Williamsburg...on M72 8 miles from Traverse City.
There are so many hippy tourists around town this time of year, its insane.

Well, now seeing all of the locals here, that explains why when a hot deal comes up locally it's like gone in no time. :)
I walk into that Staples in Dearborn to do a PM on something and they already know what it is I am PM-ing...too funny. (The last time was the DVD drive for $10AR)
