forgive me for not having the exact details, but the store clerk couldn't give them to me either. I by chance took 2 $4.99 jewel case games to checkout and they marked them both down to $2.50, saying there was a B1G1FREE promo on them. Different CC took 2 $9.99 jewel case games to counter, same deal. Tried 2 $34.99 games, no dice. Same deal w/ 2 $19.99 games.

btw... i've recently noticed that the tech stores have Quake 3 Arena in their "jewel case value bins" for $9.99.
Top quality game for cheap, and now the deal even looks better!
 
yeah, it's all the $5 and $10 games. There wasn't any advertising about this, and nobody told us(employees) that there was a sale, but nevertheless...
 
I am a Circuit City employee.

I'll lay down what I know:

9.99 and below for sure. My store does carry Q3A for 9.99, as well as both Soldier of Fortune and Soldier of Fortune II for 9.99.
I know we carry at least one Freddy Fish title (great for the kids), as well as other seemingly random things. Simply put, it's BOGO on Anything < $10, and there ARE some worth getting!

I went in to CC today and asked if they still had the buy 1 get 1 free, and the dude didn't think so....

So, I figured I'd pick up two games and just see what happens....
The CC in Tacoma didn't have much to choose from, but I was able to find 2 copies of Q3-Arena marked at $9.99.
I figured I'd snag them and save them as gifts for someone....

I took them up to the check-out and asked if they were still on sale.... So they guy scanned one and nodded yes. I said, "cool".
He rang them both up and said... "$5.43 please"

So, it looks like the deal is now 75%-off --- HOT!!!

The receipt showed 3 lines: line 1: "promo package: $0.00", line 2+3: "budget software: $2.50"

I was already logging in here before I thought to try out different things in hopes of a pricing error...
Like maybe trying the "value" console games...? (flashback $5 madness a month ago.../flashback)
I know they're two different item classes, but you can always hope....
 
anyone know what other titles they have? SOF 2 is great for that price.

Is Mafia availble for that price?

I'm 80% sure it is.
I know for sure Max Payne is.

edit: 99% sure... just googled, and mafia does have a jewel-case release -- but it does not show on CC's website.
edit2: ...but then again, neither does Q3 Arena.... So I'm guessing a big 'ol YES
 
I did see a $9.99 jewel case version (of Mafia) over at CompUSA so I figured it might be available at CC also
