but now he has EVEN MORE PRESSURE on him because Richard Prior has passed the torch onto him.

his comedy sucks. chris rock is where its at. unlike chapelle he has good ideas that don't run out of steam after like 5 seconds.

what? you know something i don't? i've seen some of his standup videos.. like the show he did in sanfran. it sucked hard. sometimes he has an interesting idea, but he doesn't take it far enough. or he feigns ignorance and it leads no where..he just convinces you he's just dumb instead of it being funny while illustrating some point. his tv show is like bad improv. take an idea like lil john always saying yea!!! uhuh!! thats funny like the first 10 seconds of the skit. then he repeats because he has no fresh ideas, he can't take it to the next level. same thing with that rick james b*tch. its the one line, and nothing more. its not like chris rock where he can give things like culture/society a fresh satirical perspective or talk about things people think but dont say in a funny way. theres intelligence behind rocks standup... chapelles a product of some weird media echo chamber.

He is funny when he is context of what he is saying, with the writer he has now, he is funny.

All I know is Chris Rock isn't funny, either.
