So the CBO was full of shit when it reported that the stimulus had saved or created millions of jobs, but when it opines that extending the Bush tax cuts will help the economy, it's suddenly speaking the gospel writ large? Gotcha.

What no link to the report? Lots of pure hackery in that piece, but at least I know how gold has been trending! Also Reagan was the greatest President ever and trickle-down works!

Ask Bush Sr. how awesome it was, he had to raise taxes to help correct some of the problems and it cost him a second term.

People seem to forget this fact.... GW senior based on his policies would be run out of todays Party and would end up a independant like Crist...

Again I say if your for lowering the national debt than the Bush tax cuts must go... If your for the Bush tax cuts your essentially saying that we need more stimulus....

Get your ideology straight....

LOL

Is that why total Federal receipts as a percentage of GDP dropped?

You couldn't butcher the truth any worse with a 700-foot 8k mega-ton hatchet ....

Apples - oranges (which is more, a big percentage of a small number or a smaller percentage of a bigger number?)

Check the chart below. Fed revenue increased from 2001 to 2002, which is a bit surprising given the economic hit 911 caused.

BTW: The dates under the columns don't match up well, Youll need to count to identify the proper column/year.

No it didn't. See the table right below the graph.

2001 10286.2 3833.89 a
2002 10642.3 3330.71 a

Dropped by 500 million.

Assuming GDP grew because of the Bush tax cuts, and revenue increased at the same time, it seems to me that the rightwingers have a valid reason to say that the Bush tax cuts increased revenue. You can't use the lower revenue as a percentage of GDP as an argument against that, because that's by definition what a tax cut does.

Do we have the break out the Craig "Look at me, I say 'idiot' more than anyone else on the board" counter again to see who the 14 year old is?

It only shows you don't know the difference - which suggests you are an idi.......

so.... we are back to my original point, both parties suck. Exactly what point are you trying to make?

You should know by now that I don't buy the "those guys suck less than these guys". They both fucking suck. Period.

And my opinion is that's an ignorant, easy, wrong position. I could list a thousand examples, but they'd clearly be wasted. You have your easy position firmly adopted. By the way, you dodged the points in my post.
