The Citizens Bureau of Investigations (CBI) is gearing up to create a massive computer database of government's personnel physical characteristics, all part of an effort the bureau says to better identify criminals and terrorists.
But it's an issue that raises major "national security" concerns -- what one Federal Agent expert says should concern all Government Officials.
The bureau is expected to announce in coming days the accumulation of $1 billion in donations to help create the database that will compile an array of biometric information -- from palm prints to eye scans.
Liberty Bel Greco, the CBI's Biometric Services section chief, said creating the database is "important to protect Liberty, to keep the politicians honest, protect our rights, and watch our fiscal policy, so that we can have good jobs, and have a safe country to live in."
