Reatil costs a little more more money, but gives u a lot more warranty. Retail, definitely.

Also, retail gives you a heatsink and a fan. OEM is just bare box, or not a box at all.

Check out Googlegear
I bought two P3 700 cB0s from there for about $200 each shipped Fed-ex two day. Both of them overclock over 933. Mine is at 980 right now. Retail versions of course.

How much voltage do u need? I need 1.80v to get 100% stable at 933.

1.75 gets me there, except on hot days.

Some places pre-test OEMs, and if u don't buy their 'guaranteed-to-XXX_MHz' chip, u get a bum.

One reason to go with a retail chip instead of an OEM, if you are overclocking, is to avoid getting an OEM chip that has been "pretested" by the vendor as to overclockability and found wanting. Also avoid the "gray market" OEM's with short (less than one year) warranties.

Did 5 systems with week 20's that would do 933 at stock voltage. Had 2 '20's that needed a little bumping, .1 at most. L020409's worked best, at least for me. All were retails and shipped from the Carol Stream, IL Ingram warehouse.

I've got a 550E in the "family machine" that is probably the best P3 O/C'er I've had.
