causes of engine starting problems?

sometimes my car starts fine, as soon as i turn the key- no problems at all... however, lately-- maybe 1 out of every 5 times, i'll turn the key and it will take a really long time for the car to start. It will just keep turning for several seconds before it actually starts. Once it gets running, it doesnt have any problems.. doesn't stall out ever or idle weird.

i'm not sure where to look for problems becuase most of the time the car starts fine.. however those few times that it doesnt have got me worrying.

Could this possibly be a fuel pump or fuel filter problem?
