cause of boot error?

Friends comp running win2k is having some issues. After the Win2k bar is done loading it immediately gets a boot error, restarts and repeats. Im thinking its a bad hard drive or memory. It was working perfectly fine for quite a while now.
 
if it has a corrupt NTFS.sys file, you gotta get rid of the partition on the hard drive. Usually that is the cause of cyclic reboots.
