Caught the mouse!

I layed a ruler about 7 inches on the counter, and 5 inches off the counter, with peanut butter on the end, and over a smooth white plastic trash can. When the mouse walked on the ruler to get the peanut butter, he, and the ruler, both fell in.
Sorry no pics, I was in a hurry to get to work. I let him go outside by the apartment dumpsters. He will have plenty to eat there.

Clever dude! Compliments from me.

He was so itty bitty. I figured he was bigger. I'd say less than 2 inches in length, body wise. With the tail about 2 more inches.

Sucker, thats what the mouse wants. He found his way in to your apartment once. Don't think he and his nasty little friends don't know the way back in.

He wasn't nasty. He was wittle and cute.

Reminds me of my hippie granddad... He devised a similar mouse trap.

You take a clear cylindrical container (12inches or longer). You tie a string on the open end of the container to a knob or somesuch thing on your counter. You put a bit of food in the end of the container, then you place the container hanging over the counter edge, maybe with a little tape. Mouse smells food, goes in container to get food. His weight is enough to break pull the tape up, the container falls into a vertical position and hangs on the string you tied to it. Voila, you have a mouse in a portable container that you can take and dump somewhere far away from your house!!
