Caught my cat humping a blanket

He was neutered years ago. Why is he doing this? It's a fuzzy, soft blanket. And he was humping away at it. I don't think he "finished".

How do I make him stop?

Take the blanket away, use it as your fapping rag and then let him smell it and realize your stance of dominance > his.

My tom cat used to do that. I think it's more of a nursing action; they hold the towel (sweatpants or whatever) in their mouths and then paw on the rest of the fabric. I think it's just a happy reenactment of kittenhood.

Then the ah heck would arch his back and drag the towel (sweatpants) around our apartment while straddling it under his belly. My wife and I thought it was funny.

My old male cat is neutered and humps a specific teddy bear. It's annoying and gross (even though he doesn't "finish"), but we haven't figured out how to stop him from doing it. It's getting worse with age, I fear.

My cat "massages" soft blankets with his paws (stands there and basically pushes down with his left paw, then right, over and over again) and gets a creepy weird look on his face like he enjoys it a little too much.

He's not marking it or leaving anything behind, or destructive in any way, he just likes doing it, so whatever.

Mittens... They do that when they're happy.

The kneading/nursing/drooling thing that some of you are describing is something that cats can do if they have been taken away from their mothers too early while nursing. It's not an absolute though. I've had twins where only one of the sisters did it.

Humping though? I've never seen that.

My dog humps one of his blankets; it could be due to them being neutered later on in life after they've fully developed.

Or so I hear . . ..

My old neutered dog keeps trying to hump my puppy. It pretty funny to watch a bulldog trying to fuck a mastiff twice his size lol.

Hahaha. Yeah when I found my cat humping the blanket, he also had an intense look on his face and was "kneading" the blanket with his paws at the same time.

You cockblocked your poor cat while he was gettin' it on with a blanket? Harsh, man.

Feels good, man. :awe:

Get your cat a Snuggie.

How many times has he messed with you rubbing one out? Leave him the hell alone, cat cock blocker.

If it were a stuffed animal or something I'd probably just laugh and let him continue. But this is the blanket I sleep on. Do not want to nestle my face onto a piece of blanket that was violated by my cat.
